andrew pratt
Director of golf instruction
Andrew Pratt joins us from Auburn University, where he has spent the last six years as the Associate Head Women’s Golf Coach. Andrew has well over 20 years of experience as a player, a teacher and a coach. Before leaving Auburn University, he made sure to leave nothing short of a historical mark on the Tigers program.
Pratt’s most recent year (2018-19 season) with the program proved to be a momentous year. The Tigers finished tied for third at the NCAA Championship after reaching the semifinals of match play. Within the same season, Pratt helped the Tigers make it to the semifinals of the SEC Championship, finished fifth at the NCAA Auburn Regional and secured two tournament titles - the Battle at the Beach and the Shootout at Shoal Creek. With player development being one of Pratt’s primary responsibilities to the program, the same season saw four separate Auburn players win individual titles, this being the most in a season since 2011-2012.

Originally from Bartlett, Tennessee, Pratt attended the University of Tennessee where he played college golf from 1999 - 2003, lettering all four years. During his years at Tennessee, Pratt competed in the 2000 and 2003 NCAA Championship, earned All-SEC Second Team honors in 2002 and was named an All-American Academic three times. In 2004, he received his undergraduate degree in Sport Management.
Pratt's own professional experience includes four years (2004-07) on the Nationwide Tour (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour) where he compiled five Top-10 finishes and was runner-up at the 2005 Xerox Classic. Additionally, he was the 2004 and 2005 Tennessee State Open Champion, the 2004 Tennessee State Amateur Champion and qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship four years in a row (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003) and the 2004 British Amateur Championship.
Utilizing his collegiate and professional experience, Pratt soon became an immediate asset to his alma mater. He was named the assistant coach of the Lady Vols Golf Team for three seasons (2008-2011). With his guidance, the Lady Vols made three consecutive NCAA Championship appearances and won four regular season tournament titles.
Just prior to his time at Auburn, Pratt was the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Tulane University (2011-2013). He led the Green Wave to one of their best seasons in program history, including a Conference USA title, a school best runner-up finish at the NCAA East Regional and a school record ninth place finish at the NCAA Championship. During his time with Tulane, the Green Wave set 11 team or individual single season and career records. Pratt was named the 2013 Conference USA Coach of the Year.
Andrew is married to Sara Buff Pratt, who is also a University of Tennessee alum. They are proud parents of two sons, Cooper (9) and Weston (6), and two daughters, Grace (5) and Charlee (20 months).
